From the work
The Operator’s Notebook
Notes from building AI into Tally Ho: the decisions behind the work, what changed, and what I’m still figuring out.
The manifesto states the belief. These notes examine what it takes to put it into practice.
Field note
Before I replied, I had to work out what was still true.
A pencilled date, a workable proposal and a hotel condition that still needed resolving. Why the current position matters more than a tidy email summary.
Operating practice
The booking record doesn’t tell you what made the day.
The guide supplies the observation. Connected records and reviewed drafting help the business carry it into the relationship afterwards.
Working argument
A voice note can be a management brief.
Knowing the procedure and deciding what would be useful are different contributions. Delegation can be a deliberate operating choice.
The question running through the work: did this make the next similar case easier, smarter, faster, or more consistent? Read the manifesto.
